See Risk Clearly. Act with Confidence.

About The North Scout Group

Clarity for the decisions that protect the mission.

The North Scout Group is a security risk management company serving defense, federal, and mission-driven organizations. We help clients identify vulnerabilities, understand consequences, and prioritize action through expert assessment and responsible use of artificial intelligence.

Our Purpose

We help leaders see the full risk picture.

Security risk is rarely confined to a single control, facility, or function. It emerges from the interaction of assets, people, processes, technology, threats, and operational dependencies.

We founded The North Scout Group to help organizations make sense of that complexity. Our work brings structure to uncertainty and transforms assessment findings into clear, practical guidance.

Mission

To equip leaders with the insight, confidence, and practical direction needed to protect critical missions, people, assets, and operations.

Vision

To set a higher standard for security decision support by combining trusted professional judgment with responsible, mission-focused innovation.

Values

Integrity

We communicate honestly, protect client trust, and stand behind the quality of our work.

Clarity

We make complex risks understandable so leaders can make informed decisions.

Rigor

We approach each engagement with discipline, curiosity, and attention to evidence.

Discretion

We respect the sensitivity of our clients’ missions, information, and operating environments.

Innovation with purpose

We adopt technology thoughtfully, applying it where it improves insight, consistency, or mission outcomes.

Leadership

Chief Executive Officer

Erika Sleger

Erika Sleger is the founder and principal of The North Scout Group. An attorney and United States Air Force veteran, she brings more than two decades of legal, military, and leadership experience to the firm’s work in security, risk, and responsible AI-enabled analysis.

Erika earned her Juris Doctor from the University of North Dakota and began her career in private practice, representing clients in civil and criminal matters and advising businesses on contracts, transactions, and regulatory compliance. She later served for more than 20 years as a Judge Advocate in the United States Air Force. In that role, she advised commanders and operational units on military justice, administrative law, government contracts, international law, rules of engagement, personnel matters, and regulatory compliance. She also led legal teams, managed complex litigation and investigations, and provided legal oversight for high-value government contracts.

Her experience in high-consequence environments shaped a leadership approach grounded in disciplined analysis, ethical judgment, discretion, and clear communication. Under Erika’s leadership, The North Scout Group combines expert security assessment with responsible, human-centered applications of artificial intelligence to help government and mission-driven organizations identify risk, make well-informed decisions, and act with greater clarity and confidence.
